finally!

When Kelly moved to Arizona I had big plans.  For a huge blog welcome.  Joint self-portraits.  Hanging out weekly.  The works.   

Ha!

Life definitely has its way of interceding. 

So here we are 6 months later, having our first creative-ish Friday.And, okay, there may be a few things wrong with our first joint self-portrait.  The blur.  My lack of hairdo.  A 5-year-old photographer.  Horrible angle.  Two pairs of squinty eyes.  My scrunching, her straining in attempts to equalize the height difference. (why didn't I fix my hair??)

But I'm posting it anyhow. Because Kelly lives here (still a surreal realization) and the moment must be marked.   It's so nice to have a friend who knows you so well.  The good, the bad, AND the ugly hair days.Love ya, Kel!

Um, wow. I really can't believe you posted these! I am laughing so hard!

Remind me not to wear that particular ensemble any more -- yeesh!! I'm ready to come right back over so that we can get a more decent picture! Could I be whiter?? This is why I have trouble in the makeup department. I'm like powder pink or something. Emphasis on the powder.

And, it's only been 5 months so that's not as bad as 6, right? Honestly, I had such a fun time, and can't wait to reveal the fruits of our first Creative Friday! I look forward to many more ahead. It's a joy being your neighbor!!

And really, we have both looked better on almost every other rendezvous -- why did we choose yesterday for pictures?? :) Time to hit the Jillian DVD, Kel!

Hooray! I can only imagine the fun (and the food) that is to be had with the two of you together.

Might I suggest taking your own picture next time? When you don't have to rely on another photographer, you can do as many takes as you like! (not that I don't applaud your dedication to self-portraiture...)
