    52 Blessings

    I adore this picture.

There's obviously no photography genius to it, but check out Aidan's arm around his brother.  The casual moment & manner.  I love that these two love each other.  The blessing I'm counting this week is the Best Buddy-ness of these boys.  The past few weeks have been a hubbub of cousins, friends, catching up, chaos...but then there is the inbetween.  When these two disappear into a world wholly of their own making.  Sometimes it's dinosaurs.  Other times light sabers or robots.  The details are minor, but their "settling in" to one another does make me smile.  Because that, yes, that, is Major.

I agree completely! There is nothing more tender than seeing your children treat each other with love and kindness.

You're right...this picture captures it all. I love the line, "When these two disappear into a world wholly of their own making." I love this blessing.

    Yay for best buddies!

I love it when the children get going in all their plans and playing and enjoy one another!

Those moments are the best! I wish we had more of them here, but unfortunately my 7 year old boy has decided that his 5 year old sister is getting on his nerves. The perils of getting older!

There is just something about brotherly love. That photo speaks a thousand words. Great blessing indeed.

How cute that they are best buddies. I wish mine got along better. I think the 6 year age difference between the 2 doesn't help. Neither does Marshall's complete intolerance for anything that does NOT go his way RIGHT NOW!

    Absolutely nothing better.

It's legitimately adorable. I love watching my boys be friends too. Back in the day, when I was young and naive, I mourned (a little) not having girls because I mourned creating and watching sisters become sisters. Having only one brother, I had no idea what a treat I was in for. Brothers being buddies is sweet indeed.

I love this blessing! There's nothing better than glimpsing those spontaneous moments of brotherly (or in my case sisterly) love!

What a great photo! I love that you have the two so close in age - what a great adventure they are going to have in life together! Cute, cute boys!

Very cute! How nice that they are great friends. Mike's boys like to hang out together and will watch movies or TV with their arms around each other, but unfortunately, play time ususally ends in fighting if they are trying to share toys. They play great NEXT to each other, but not WITH each other.

Today Carter and Aimee wanted to watch Pinoccio. Carter asked for a granola bar. Then he asked for one for Aimee. Then he went into the living room and said, "Look, Aimee, I got a granola bar for you!" "Oh, thank-you, Carter!" Silence. A few minutes later I hear Aimee, "Wanna cuddle?" "Sure." I go in and peak and there they are all snuggled up, very much like your picture, chewing on granola and watching Pinoccio sing his 'got no strings' song. Perfect moment.

I love this candid picture of them, so cute. And it's true, there is nothing that warms your heart more than when your two little people find peace and happiness with eachother, for an hour, an afternoon or just a tv show. You hope they mantain their closeness as they grow up.

This is a great blessing. I was just thinking today that I'd like to record the sound of my kids laughing together without them knowing and post it as a blessing.

Very cute. I love it when my girls play together and are in their own world - it's so great.
