Okay, these pictures are fuzzy, but my old crock pot served me well and deserves recognition before retirement. And the new...well, I do think she's a beauty.

In honor of the old I'll share the BEST crock pot recipe I have (click here).
In honor of the new, I plan to try this recipe soon (click here).

crockpots are definate blessings when you KNOW you are going to be too crazy busy in the afternoon to make supper. To just throw everything in at 10am, and trust that it will be ready by dinner. Perfect.

Both of your crockpots are oh so pretty. the one I have is a wedding gift. It is big and works well, but I would love a stainless steal one.

Your crockpots are both rather deluxe compared to mine. I still have a country blue and white model with a plastic lid, it's so old. We use it almost every Sunday though, so even though it's ugly and I tend to gaze at newer models sometimes, it still works.

I've been fearful of using my crockpot the last couple of weeks with my house for sale. I worry it won't smell good to whoever is looking. But some days it really is the answer, so maybe I'll just have to put caution to the wind.

    I always was a bit of a daredevil. :)

Crockpots are the best, especially when you put the liner in and you have no clean up. Love that. Your new one is a beauty. I think I have the same as your old one, but with a nob.

You should come be a presenter at our Cooking Group this week! We are doing Crockpot Cooking--won't you come...please! ;-) I'm sure your recipes will be there--because you probably won't be in Texas this week!

I remember getting our lovely blue and white crockpot at a bridal shower (probably the cousin of Jill's!). I thought how lovely and very classic it was--not like the 70s and 80s ones you would see around. Now it is starting to look out-of-date. How does that happen?

Ha! I am so old - my crock pot is more like the 70's/80's ones that Tiffany is describing! You know I hate to re-buy something I already have, however I recently read a recipe for homemade yogurt using a crockpot 'warm' setting which my crockpot doesn't have, and the recipe says that 'low' is too hot. So I'm thinking about a new crock pot. . .

Tiff & Barb...I'm now feeling rather gluttonous retiring my 5-year-old crock pot because it has no handles or knob. I never considered those weren't reasons enough to shop for a new one...I could learn some frugality from you two, I'm sure!

I too have the old one from my wedding...green interior with flowers decorating the cream colored outside. It is love.ly.
Whenever I use it, I think about getting a more rectangular one like your new one...mine is more of a cylinder than anything, but since I only crock-pot a couple times a month I have a hard time justifying the expense.

Your recipes look delish and the perfect thing for my very hectic Mondays! Today we crock-pot!

Oh my, if you could somehow see my crockpot. First of all, it was a wedding gift eleven years ago. Secondly, the lid has never fit quite right and there was a time I was convinced it had to be ducktaped down for it to cook right. I've since given up my need for a tight fitting lid, but the old tape marks remain, all black and sticky, and it's blue and white floral to begine with. Not pretty. But I hate buying kitchen stuff. Which is why I have crappy kitchen stuff.

There is something so sexy about a crockpot with digital numbers on it, however. Hmmmm.....

After several years of marriage I have finally grown to LOVE my crock pot for various reasons. Like Lucy I am still using my ancient one from our wedding. I am jealous of your new one. It looks fancy! Mine only has two settings low and high and I am not sure low is really low. I will be checking out that new recipe!

I laugh about all the crockpots because mine is just like those 13 years old, white and country blue with flowers :)

I made a new year's resolution to use mine more and so far I have used 4 times and thankful each time to come home to that wonderful smell knowin that dinner is ready!

Can't wait to try the new recipe.

I am such a freak when it comes to crock pots. I used to worry about leaving it on but have gotten over it since Josh got me a new one several Christmases ago. They are a huge time saver and your new model is pretty spiffy.
