Jane Austen

Okay, it's embarrassing to be writing this at 1 AM (I did have a long early evening nap, my friends!), but I had to take a moment fresh from watching PBS's adaptation of Persuasion to gush. For those who may have missed out. Anne & Captain Wentworth were both perfection. It encompassed all that I love about Austen - quirky personalities, devestatingly hopeless love turned reality.
Next Sunday they're doing Northanger Abby (my ward book club read this last year and it was truly humorous...can't wait to see it in movie format), then Sense and Sensibility and Mansfield Park over the following weeks. After the new original productions, they are going to air the Kate Beckinsdale Emma and the classic, one & only A&E Pride and Prejudice. To finish it all off, they made an original biography titled Miss Austen Regrets.
Much Sunday night goodness to look forward to!
Off to bed!

Last night we watched "Something The Lord Made" which is actually really good, but it's one of Keith's favorites and we've watched it many times, and he just happened to catch it on tv, and I just couldn't get into it again.
Kelly, I missed the second half of Jane Eyre and was kicking myself. And then Sunday at like 3 a.m. I was flipping channels while feeding the babies and lo and behold there it was again! Needless to say, the girls got some extra snuggles over the next hour while I watched and sobbed. LOVED IT. So, check your TV guide and set up your DVR.
I didn't know there was a Kate Beckesale Emma. I just knew about the Gwenyth Paltrow one. And I've ver seen Persuassion OR Northenger Abby, though I love both books.
I'm happy to know they'll be playing shows weekly, I feared I'd missed it all.
