The tissue of the life to be,
We weave with colors all our own.
and in the field of Destiny,
We reap as we have sown.
    -John Greenleaf Whittier

    5:15 a.m. - you let the sowing begin....good girl!

    This is beyond impressive!

(Though it does sound slightly like an entry for your body book.)

What is body pump anyway? I'm not familiar with this exercise vocabulary. I was blissfully unconscious at 5:15, and want to know what this class could have been to have driven you out of your cozy nest at that horrid hour.

It's a beautiful class, Kel. Here's the official description (love the internet!): "A rapid, fat-burning class that uses barbells to give you the fastest way to tone and condition muscles". What I love about it is it's all done to music. 80 squats done to a good beat are much easier than 80 done with quiet. Every muscle group is worked & you feel it the next day in a good way.

But nothing about it felt beautiful today. It usually leaves me feeling energized & enthused, but today I'm dragging more than ever. I'll blame it on the 11:30 bedtime & the 2 month work-out hiatus.

Good going Amy. I have yet to get started back with my 6:oo am workout schedule again. Shane gets back in town tonight so I will have someone to watch the kids in the morning. It will be a killer to start getting up at 5:30 again, but very much needed.

Okay, the "rapid fat burning" "tone and condition" sounds beautiful, but 80 squats set to music or no -- sounds like pain. I will give you that about the music though. It does make a huge difference. Keith had been running on the treadmill while watching ESPN. Loudly. I got him an iPod for Christmas, and he said the difference between running to music and tv is amazing.

Go Amy go! You are inspiring! I actually got on my old gym's website to see what their class schedule is and to consider joining again (it all went downhill about 15 months ago when I got pregnant with H and felt nauseated 24/7).

I have heard that type of class can change your life in just a matter of weeks. REALLY hard - but great results! What impresses me is that you were there at5:15 AM????????????
