    show & tell

    What I did yesterday:

    bird houses: $10 / bird: $.20 / paper: <$2 / flowers: $2 / paint:free

While my Melissa friend {very kindly!} sewed the edges on some extra-large receiving blankets (ones that can actually wrap up a human-sized baby).

Baby Girl's room is on its way...

The bird houses are adorable, and I love the receiving blankets too! How exciting to be decorating the room for your sweet baby girl.

The bird houses are very cute! I can't wait to see how your baby girl's room turns out. I'm sure it will be lovely.

Eeeeeeee! Can you hear me squealing with delight over here? The bird houses turned out SO cute!! I think that aqua paper was my favorite that you picked out, so I'm glad it made the cut.

The blankets are wonderful, too. I love those first two fabrics. The pink John Deere is hilarious. My college friend Amy who said she was going to dress her baby girls in black would not have wrapped a baby in pink John Deere. Ah, so funny to me how things change as we go along! :)

SO CUTE! I wondered why you were making adorable bird houses, so when you said it was for the baby room I was over the moon. Adorable! I don't know who is coming to live with us soon, so I don't know what decore I'll end up doing.

What darling ideas--I love the pink john deere as well!

So, how big are actual baby size blankets? :)

I bought some small ones that Ethan has now outgrown. They were the standard store size. They worked for a month or so. I made a couple of larger ones and they seemed huge when he was a newborn--but he's been growing into them quite nicely. :) The fabrics are not near as cute as yours--plain blue and plain yellow!

I've always wanted a daughter, but now I think it might be best that I only have sons as I have not a cute-making-craft bone in my body. Those are seriously cute! Your daughter is going to be so lucky to have such a talented and smart mother.
