    spt

on this Tuesday, I woke up at 5:50, waited in line for one hour, marked my ballot, came home to Aidan's "what did you vote for?", smiled at Davyn's "is that your voting sweater?" (because the association is not so absurd when he probably hasn't seen me in a sweater since last January..and he was 2 last January), talked politics with Jim as he drove to work after marking his own ballot.

It's only 9 am and I'm worn out.  It's been a long election year.

Well, your sticker is WAY cuter. And, I don't know what you're talking about...messy hair....
    I think you look fetching:)

    Yay for voting.

I'm jealous of your sticker. Mine is ugly and says "Phx assoc. of Realtors" on the bottom of it -- sort of cheapens it! You were an early bird voter! PQ and I headed over a bit ago, and no line -- I was pleasantly shocked. I love your voting sweater. :)

Love your sweater, your sticker, your darling HAIR, and your sentiments. It has indeed been a very long election year. Here's to it being over!

Congratulations on voting. My ballot was sent in last week, thank goodness, I can't imagine dragging my babies and waiting in line. The boys had a school vote yesterday where all the students voted for president. My two boys were the only ones that voted for John McCain, how funny is that. I've never talked politics to them before, but the family that lives behind us has five kids, and they're always out there playing with them. Well the little boy who is nicknamed "Biggie", told Collin that Barack Obama is bad. Cracks me up. Collin comes in the house. "Mom, Barack Obama is a bad man, Biggie told me so." I was in hysterics. And then yesterday in the car Tom and I were talking about politics and the school voting, and I was saying something about, what do kids know about the presidential candidates, whatever. And Collin pipes up in the back seat, "Biggie knows!"
Sorry, I wrote you a novel for a comment! Thought it was funny though, Mandi will die.

Good for you for getting up early to vote, I went at 10:30am and it took an hour. I ended up in line with a friend from church though so the time went quickly.

You guys got fancy voting stickers.

Yeah for voting! I'm impressed you got up so early to go! Nate and I are totally early ballot people. I didn't get mine done in time for the primaries and it was such a pain to go with kiddies and wait in line. I'm feeling all riled up and freaky inside, but I just calmed myself down talking to Megan and then I read some blogs and got all angry and riled up again. I may call you to help me become more Christlike and loving today because I don't feel it at all - I'm just flat out riled up even though neither men are good for our country in my humble opinion . . .

    Love your cute SPT!

They don't give out stickers here. I seriously feel let down that I don't get one! I remember voting for the first time here and wondering where the stickers were. I guess I need to go buy my own stickers to wear on voting days. :)

I picked up my husband and we took our "almost 2 year old" with us to vote. She layed on the floor and threw a silent tantrum in the line, but luckily we only waited a few minutes. She was in everyone's way, but at least she wasn't screaming. So glad that the voting is over for me.

Ok, see, now THAT'S how I wanted my last haircut to turn out! :-) And your ballot people ordered cuter stickers, too. Happy Election Day!

I, too, am ready for this extra long election year to be over. Political ads - gone. Posters and signs - gone. Let's get moving and hope for a better way of life in our economics, environment and our Nation... phew!

It's great your kids commented on the voting process. You got a pretty cool sticker too. I voted this morning, but they weren't handing out any stickers. I'm trying not to be down about that.

On another note, your hair is DARLING!

So sorry for your wait! Since it was at school, I got Rachel out of class so she could vote with me. She was so excited to vote for president and 102. Hate to tell you we had no line.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your hair cut. I saw your comment on Lucy's and I beg to differ you are gorgeous without makeup. I have been meaning to ask you what type of camera do you have?? I am currently borrowing a friends to see how I like the feel of an SLR.
