one last Utah note
It was also London's birthday while we were there. She turned three, and since she is by far Davyn's favorite person in the multiverse, here are a few pictures of last Friday's birthday girl:
These two photos represent London perfectly: equal parts Angel and Attitude. Not a bad combo at all, really.
On our way home, Davyn was saying something to me that I couldn't understand. Finally, I realized he was saying "London", but had dropped the "Ya Ya" version in favor of her true name. So our Ya Ya is no more, and now we have both an older London and a Davyn who is listening more to words. If I sigh and tear up at every tiny change, how will I ever make it to adulthood with these guys!

I was worried about his speech development, and took him to a speech therapist, who said he was just fine, and told me to relax.
Sure enough, within a month of his appointment, his vocabulary sky-rocketed. While this was exciting and fun to watch him develop, I was a little sad that when I tucked him in, he no longer growled but said, "bear." Actually, this was two years ago, and just writing it out brought tears to my eyes. Moms are just emotional wrecks I guess.
There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
And when she was good she was very very good,
And when she was bad she was horrid!
Carmen laughed and said, "That girl is just like me!"
I'd take Kelly's dad up on his offer today!
