    Davyn and his "precious"

    Cyndee's photos March - June 2006 238.jpg
This child has me wrapped around his finger.  That's a place I'm not honestly prone to go...for Anyone.

Thus, he has managed to make it to 2 (next week!) with the precious fire in his posession.   Yes, we've made eradication attempts, but I'm the first to admit they've been half-hearted.

Could you bring tears to a face like this?  Seriously.

I guess it's a good thing that I don't live by you because I would have ripped that thing out of his mouth a year ago. Yeah, I've brought tears to a lot of cute faces in my time.

Oh, I don't think I could bring tears to that face. He is too cute. Avery was the same way with the pacifier. We ended up sending Avery's on a vacation to France, which for some strange reason worked. Emerson sucks her thumb, and even I can see what it's doing to her front teeth. Once, Keith was on a big effort to get her to stop, and every time he would see her he'd say, "Thumbs out, Emmie!" Finally at the end of the day, she looked at him with tear-filled eyes and said, "You can't take my fumbs!" He has never said a word to her about it since. Too sad to break a little heart sometimes, even when it's for their own good.

Ha...I almost wrote that at the end - "JoDee, Mandi & Megan need not answer that question". I wish I had the Firm-Consistent-Good-Mom Genes you three got in droves, but somehow it skipped me.

And who on earth could deny Em her "fumbs"?

What a cutie! I love reading those Beehive requirements from long ago. Very entertaining.

Oh how cute!!The passey was a lifesaver for both my kiddos. However, at age four, Chloe was still attached. New baby in the house -new passeys and lots of temptations for her!
So, on Christmas day I told her I put her passeys on the cookie plate and santa took them to the elves in the north pole! And that was that! She couldn't be mad at santa, he just gave her some great stuff, right? -ciao

Oh he is soo cute and squishy. I would probably let him have it forever. Luckily for me, Ryley never really liked a pacifier.

I actually did a fun thing with Alexis:
She loved to play with purses and I was thinking of getting one for her when my plan was concocted. I asked if she would like to buy a purse with her pacifiers and she was on board. For 2 weeks we talked about it and got her all excited and then we went to the mall where my sister worked with the last of her pacifiers. She had a coworker display all her old purses and she picked out three purses, one for each of her pacifiers. Then the lady said that will be 3 binkies and she hesitated, looked at them for a minute, but she really wanted those purses so she handed them over. I thought for sure we'd have a crying fit in the middle of the night when she forgot, but she took a purse to bed with her for a few nights and was over it.
Trickery is definitely the way to go: france, santa, a new toy, whatever it takes.

It is hard to crumble that boy! He is so cuddly and snuggly! I take it out of his mouth every time I see him and it's hard, but the other day he actually chose me over his fire - but it took him much deep thought and hesitation before handing it over in order to hold me. He's very attached. Good luck with that, Amy!

I guess you already know what I am going to say, so I wrote with no comment but to just let you know I am still alive!

unfortunately, of the France, Santa & purse options, this little guy is most likely to go for the purse..

So CUTE! I can tell why you are whipped. Annalisa's method worked wonders. Especially preparing her for it ahead of time, she knew what was coming. It is probably just as hard for you though. It makes them so grown up when they stop using their pacifiers. Good luck...

I am getting the biggest kick out of reading all of your solutions to solving the "binky" problems. I'm so many years removed from that problem that it seems odd ever to have considered it a problem in the first place.

Wouldn't it be lovely if that's the worst thing any of you ever have to solve?

Cute stories.... ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE PICTURES. I want to grab him and feast on his cute little face, especially that wonderful spot on his neck just under his ear.
