    Oh Carol...

and every other female in the world.

Watch out for my 4-year-old.  A certifiable flirt.

We've been home from our 24th of July Luna trip for a good week+ now.  The 5 days of gorgeous weather and toyhauler time was pure bliss.  Aidan got a bit restless for other kids (you guys have to come next time, Shan!), but Davyn was in heaven with all sorts of female company.  The biggest crush was Carol.  Who is 10.  And who flirted nearly as much as he did.

And he always has kisses and love for his grandmas.  This year he loved picking (and eating) peas from Grandma Hulsey's garden.

Then there was LeAnn.  Who is Carol's step-mom (and Jim's cousin).  She helped him learn some roping and then he decidedly chose her lap over both mine, Grandma Kay's and Tasha's (unheard of!).

There was also a little second cousin.  Their hands were glued together for the duration of Grandma Scott's 99 1/2 birthday party (I get to make the 100th cake in January!).

One morning, on the heel of all these escapades, there was some D teasing about his "girlfriends".  I quickly piped in with "they're not your girlfriends...just girls who you like who are good friends.  Right?"  Well, he was indignant. "Them IS my girlfriends, Mom."  Everyone looked at me in agreement:  I'm in for trouble as this boy gets older.

After we made it home, Davyn told me all the girls he plans to marry (Carol tops the list for now).  I told him that you only marry one person.  He told me that would be hard to decide.  I wanted to tell him that - in that case - he better always listen closely to his mom.  But I didn't.  For now.  Instead I considered the list of girls Jim dated along his way to me.  And the list of guys I dated along my way to him.  Somehow life ebbs and flows and eventually leads you to what's *right*.

    Thank goodness.

If he's a flirt now there's probably no hope for any of the girls in his future! He's just too cute.

P.S. How goes your pregnancy? We have yet to see a photo of you in a tent. Are you having name negotiations or is it an easy choice?

Ahhhhhhh, he's just so darn cute. Who wouldn't want a little Davyn to tag around with?

How fun! Aimee is very concerned about who she will marry. She really wants to marry one of her brothers, but we've told her you have to marry someone that isn't already in your family. Heartbroken.

How are you feeling? You're due in October, right?

We'll get him all boyed up again in preschool - action figures, wrestling, super heroes! Then he can forget all about girls for a while :) Blake's only interest in girls so far is to undress all the Barbies.

It will be hard to choose for sure! But it looks like he will have no trouble attracting suitors along the way. I love little boy flirts.

So cute. It was a fun trip with wonderful weather, fabulous food, cool company, and a perfect parking place. I must admit to chuckling as I watched D make eyes at Carol Saturday night at the "concert". It wasn't long before he was on her lap.

So cute. Don't worry, he may still reach the stage in which girls have cooties! If not, it seems like he has good taste!

He's just the cutest little flirt ever, no wonder he has such success with the ladies. I love that picture of him in the garden with Grandma Hulsey!

And I echo Shanon -- I can't wait to hold your baby!

Well, I guess it's all good as long as he doesn't marry one of his cousins!

I was thinking this morning how this might make him the perfect big brother. I think she will be in love with him from the start.
