Davyn goes to school

D's first day of school ever (with his best girl by his side!):Never mind that it's just joy school...that his hair stayed uncombed...that his mom is this week's teacher.  This boy was full-on excited.  Convinced that he'd (finally!) hit the big league.  Honored to sidle up to Aidan this afternoon to tackle homework in tandem.

I'm mostly convinced that I'm not ready for him to ever leave for real.  So this is the perfect slow start for the two of us...he, completely ignorant of the real thing...me, completely unready to truly let go (or is it be let go?).

I cracked up when Mandi related London's driving over concern:  "I don't even know where my classroom is.  What if I get lost?"

I love these littles.

First, congrats on the cake. Anything you would do is amazing. And how fun to have preschool. Are you just doing it with them?

I love Davyn's eyes in the first photo!

I hope London didn't get lost. :)

Lol...Those littles ARE darling! The smile on D's face is just priceless. So great that you are doing this. I have been waiting with bated breath to get an update on how A is liking and adjusting to school. I guess no news is good news right?

Be let go...oh my.

and the "what if I get lost" comment is my big concern as well.

Oh so cute! He looks so happy to be going to school!! HOORAY FOR JOY SCHOOL!! We're trying to get one organized here but we're seriously lacking in the "kids ages 3-4 who aren't already in pre-school" department.

What a cute visual: Your two boys side by side eagerly doing their homework. Glad D is excited for Joy school. Funny, funny London. Was she serious?

How cute!

London's comment cracked me up!

London's comment had me cracking up. I wonder if she was at all disappointed that her classroom was Aunt Amy's house.

So cute - I may have to steal these for documentation purposes. London was just as excited!

So cute! I loved doing joy school last year for Abby and for sure will do it with Jake next year. D's little smile is adorable!!

Cute. I bet their first day was great with you as their teacher. I took Henry to a "mom" preschool today too. He seems entirely too baby-like to be learning about circles and such, but he had a good time. Looks like Davyn did too:)

Oh my they are adorable. It will be a tough day when you have to send him off for real.

Isn't sending the kids off to school so fun? Thanks for your comment. Your husband is our home teacher with Justin Cook. And thanks for the offer for school carpool. I will let you know if I need help. I carpool with Susan Cook and she has offered to take over for a few weeks too. It's great to know there's help if I need it. Maybe one of these days I will be released from nursery so I can feel like a member of relief society again and get to know more faces! Thanks again.

They are so cute!! I hope no one did get lost!

I totally missed out on that cake bidding thing, but what a great idea and a great cause! Very cool to put your fantastic talent toward such a worthwhile cause. (I am still very enveous of your R2D2 cake!)

I wanted to see the baby gift idea--the narrative sounds very cool--and the pants-optional soccer game, but of course, my computer doesn't feel the need to load pictures today.

Yay for a home pre-school to do with the littles! I had so much fun doing it last year. We had our first day of our second year of it this week and it was great. Are you doing the real JOY SCHOOL with the cirriculum and everything? I hear it is fabulous.

They're both so darling. I love it that they're so excited to start "school."
