fall break: day one

I surprised myself by being giddy at our week-long break from Kindergarten and preschool.  The weather is gorgeous & I want to be outside with my boys.  So this morning we sat to plan the week.  Today's agenda included haircuts and a park trip (obviously a picnic as all of the pictures were pretty much caught mid-chew) with Mandi & girls.

On another note, I've forever wanted to have Photoshop.  And now that it's on my happy new computer (thank you Jared & Jim!), I have so dang much to learn.  I decided to join some fellow bloggers in monthly challenges at take-out photo.  October's challenge:  5x5 inch polka dot photo card.  Three hours later (a conservative estimate, mind you) and I'm one step closer to understanding Photoshop.  Only about a billion to go (in both steps and hours), right?

We just might be seeing proud polka-dots here all week.

Tomorrow's plan:  field trip to downtown Mesa and lunch with Grandma Cyndee

Now that is a cool photo. I like the idea of them chewing food, too. Who'd have thought?

Cute polka dot kids! Have a great week--sounds like you have fun plans!

Photoshop--I keep thinking it should be easy. I've only tried a few basic things in there--good for you for actually learning! I just muddle through and hope something works.

Good job, Amy! I love polka dots so much, I keep thinking of things to do with this template.

Way to be a fun mom during Fall break. Ours starts on Thursday and I have some gearing up to do.

This turned out so cute! I'm amazed at all you've learned in the short time you've had photoshop. I need to plan some more fun things to do with my 2 that are off this week. I was planning a "you play with PQ while I clean the bathrooms" day today -- oh yes, I'm a fun mom. :)

That is AWESOME! I love the polka-dot thingy. You make me want to get/learn photoshop . . . and get a nice camera. . . and learn how to and make amazing cakes. . . and so many other things! That picture of Reagan is darling! You may have to email that polka-dot thing to me.

I've been wanting Photoshop forever too. But I never know which one I actually HAVE to have. I just noticed that Photoshop 7 isn't the latest anymore. Anyhow, any suggestions on which one to get??? I hate to spend that kind of money and it not be good. Which one do you have??
