    to D today

      Baby%20D2.jpg

I'm not sure if these cheeks are still my "baby's"...I'm seeing so much more "big boy" of late.   No more crib naps.  Few more naps of any kind, really.  More and more clear words, defined intentions, firm desires.  Less need for consolation, holding or help.  "I do it," comes all-to-readily to those lips that still - luckily - grant kisses freely.  You are singular in your ability to love.  I truly believe it a Gift from Above.  When I reach out my hand to hold yours, you meet it with your lips.  Not a rarity, but an Often, and a true "Only D" gesture.  Yes, you can {as if I have any say in the matter!} move beyond baby, beyond me {a little!}, but please keep showering your kisses.  Your brother and cousins - as am I - are convinced they have special powers.  When someone falls hurt, "go get magic kisses from D."  And they do.  Granted freely.  Thank you for all of the love you bring to our home.  I'm grateful to watch you Become.

amy, i have not been over here in a while your blog looks so great!
i was out of town during your birthday and even though it was almost two months ago i still feel bad i missed it.
    happy super late birthday.

i use a hpoffice jet 5610v all in one printer. i don't like it too well. i used to have this old $30. cannon printer, should never have gotten rid of it. my new printer does not accept 100lb paper. i like a printer that has a top load because you print all kinds of funky weight paper on it.
i don't ever print photos at home, either costco or ritz camera. hope that helps.

I love this picture, punctuated by a whole lot of bias, but it captures a lot of D's "was" cherub meets Gerber baby.

It is hard to see them grow up and become their own. I loved your words about him. He sounds like the sweetest little guy. Pangs me a little to think I will never have that kind of relationship, but I am grateful for what I have.

Oh those are baby checks. Hold on to them while they last. I often say to Alexis; "no matter how old you get, you will always be my baby." It seems the older she gets the more I call her my baby. But I am constantly in awe at watching her grow up. I love the magic kisses. What a sweet boy. And I love all the close up pictures you've been taking.
