pig (and hippo and penguin) talk

    Jenna's new-house closet-Find becomes boys' best friend:

    DSC01958.JPG
Sunday morning as we eat sausage and glory in their new-found friend
("No, Aidan, he can't sit at the table."):
"Other families don't like pigs so much, but our familiy does."

Overheard as I climbed the stairs to do Sunday make-up and hair:
"What do you say we go visit some hippos without mom?"

    Eating steak for dinner:
"I think this is penguin meat."

    But, back to "Wilbur":

    DSC01954.JPG
Why did I take a picture of myself puckering up to the pork?  I blame Lelly's self-portrait madness.

    London:  "What are these?"

Me:  "That's where the baby piggies drink their milk."

London:   "But what are they called?"

Me:  Wondering why in the world my mouth can't form the word "teat" for this 2-year-old.  If only Wilbur were a cow..."udder" emerges with so little effort.

This is hilarious. I LOVE the picture of your boys, the pig, and the wagon, priceless!

You had me laughing out loud. It reminded me of an incident with Collin the other week. He came into my bedroom, lifted up his shirt and proudly proclaimed that he had boobs. I immediately (without thinking of course!) said, "no Collin, those are titties". I'm so stupid! Of course it's the one word he can say clear as day. Lovely.

Very funny! Am I immature if the words "teats" and "titties" make me giggle. I could barely type them without cracking up. What will I do when Ryley gets older? Probably send her to Josh.

Oh Amy you made me laugh out loud with that sentence about trying to form the word teat. So funny.

I'm also going a little crazy with the self-portrait thing, it's so fun that I find myself wanting to take self portraits everywhere I go. I like this one of you!

That is some pig. I am lovin' your self portrait with Wilbur--cute and go Sun Devils. I couldn't help but notice your festive shirt. :) (speaking from a former dancer on the squad).

That is hilarious. I always say the words, then regret it when they are said back to be an hundred times a day.

You're just RADIANT in your picture with that HUMBLE pig. As far as anatomy questions go, I know I need to teach correct words, but I have had some embarassing experiences with small children who have a correct vocabulary.

Udders is a fine word. You cracked me up with your pig kissing picture! I still have my little iron pig in my kitchen -- do you remember him? You can come smooch him any time you want, since your family loves pigs.

And you're such a gourmet, I'm betting it was penguin meat. :)

Thanks for making me laugh tonight! I had ELEVEN children in my house this evening for Avery's book club, and it was either you or whiskey. Thanks for pulling through for me. :)

Do you ever watch Scrubs? With the taxidermy dog? Funny. And yes teat to a 2-year-old. How to you say that with a serious face?

This cracks me up. I never know what to say either. In fact I had a similar situation just like this the other day...my 2 little girls saw their boy friend stand up and go to the bathroom holding himself. We have a house full of girls so they had loads of questions. I wasn't sure what language to use.

Oh my goodness! My first thought was how strong Aidan was that he is pulling D and a pig. Then I thought D's face is in a pigs bum, then I figured out the pig has to be fake! I love it. That is hilarious!!
